I am seeing broken ideas and aspirations. Also I notice you in the reflection. Very well done.

I like how it's almost abstract, that it's not just a reproduction of some object. The textures are fantastic.

Wow. Ich weiß nicht, was ich da noch sagen kann, das hat mich so ziemlich ohne Worte gelassen. Die ganzen striche und pünktchen, und die Lichtreflexe auf dem Glas... Wow.

the background is so detailed! I think i´m supposed to look at the light bulb... which is also incredibly done ofcourse but I like the shadow and detail on the background. I don´t know if it´s supposed to be sad but this drawing looks really sad to me

It is a sad work, of course the light bulb is a symbol for discarded life, it held energy and lighted our path, now its in a heap and ready to ignore, like our grandparents. Now do I expect others to see this? not really but it does set a mood

thx

thanks for explaining :) My thoughts weren't exactly the same but came really close. One of the reasons why I like your drawings is because there is a great meaning behind it

Actually its about both and more, even when all things line up most of the time art or ART doesn’t happen. To be honest with you its never happened to me IMHO but ill keep trying.

mmmm.... What do you mean, art didn't happen to you? You spent 50 years on art; you live for it, you teach it? That does count for something, right? I mean, you're not an icon in the artworld because you're mr. Happy. :). (I'm not trying to be cynical, I just want to know)

Is it something like the ultimate drawing? Or are you just not impressed with your own works, though knowing you achieved a lot of things? Sounds like you're accustomed to your own work. I mean: we all like what we don't have, but that does not mean your work isn't art :). What is not art for you can be art for someone else and the other way around :).

i think a lot of people consider art as something painted or drawn well its much more than that and very rare, when i look at the body of my work i dont see anything that comes close to that but if i thought i couldn't ever do it i would quit so i think its possible but something has to happen that's much better than what i have been doing.

Hey! That's not fair! You just took a picture of a broken lightbulb and posted it in the "drawing" section! =P Seriously, this is absolutely incredible, you got everything down to the reflections perfectly. Incredible job.

this could have an interesting interpretation for estonian people =P

recently old fashioned hotwire light bulbs were banned here, and only low consumption new technology light bulbs are allowed (it's not too strict though, stores can sell their leftovers and people can use old bulbs, but it isn't allowed to import more old type bulbs.) this image fits the subject quite nicely :)
