New Moon Old Souls...WIP1 by nimra New Moon Old Souls...WIP1 by nimra
Pencil on Strathmore Illustration board

Ok is that all he draws is eyes? No, but it seems like it… this is the start of a new WIP, there are two eyes in it, my son Ean’s eye he is thirteen and eye of a old woman a Czech artist by the name of Kapka Belton. Both are “old souls” and very amazing people, this drawing is not so much about age but of an astuteness that goes beyond one lifetime a continuum of learning to be a great human.

The completed drawing is called “New Moon, Old Souls” this I the first element.

This part is 9” x 9” the complete drawing is 30” x 40”

Thanks for looking

Armin

Yes. He has a old soul.
Looking just to the top of it we can feel some old traces.. that because of the hair's entanglement, I think. But the freckles in the bottom denounces his childness.

Hey..Sorry for this boring question, Armin... but what kind of pencils do you used? I promise that I'll try to do something like it! =)

Please, take a look at my jobs anytime! (I just need more time to do that. Isn't easy to be an adolescent a little poor in Brazil ^^' hehehe)

Bye!

BTW. Pentel is used here in alot of stores in Holand, just like Strathmore is not available for Holland. I use .3 mm B Pentel PG303: It allows you thinner accuracy :).

Sort of...It's a German company that makes them if I'm correct. I have the same problem with Strathmore. I wanted to order those heavy weight 500 Illustration board, but I had to let it come from the USA, for at least almost 9 bucks a piece. They say only to deliver in bulk and for companies. I think you pay for the shipment fromout Europe :S. However Pentel is one of the cheapest mechanics around here; just like Staedler.

I used Staedler util the changed the design of them, bad move. Your only down the road from Germany go there and buy them (pentel) what’s up?????

They are in my local artstore and I have those ;). Love staedler lumoplastic erasers, you can really solidify a polished black with it.

I've destroyed 6 hours of work yesterday, cause I wasn't satisfied with the iris. The eyes were nice, but I found it too less detailed for my sense and the tears were annoying. And when I wanted to use the downside, the paper folds ^%&#%$#!! Incredible busy too, now I want to draw even more...So I'm not too good. I always seem to have that after the parade of my last drawing, then I start to piss off again and then it works again.
