Oil over graphite, painting itself 16 x 20 with the constructed surround and frame aprox. 24 x 28
The surface is glass clear the isolated small areas are influenced by stained glass, as well as the segmentations of small area between the trees. The work is so much about the physical surface of the work which you can't translate on a monitor screen this is the reason I have shown so little of these works, its rather frustrating.
Starting on the surround which is a wood construction painted and manipulated to look like rusted steel.
Very gorgeous work. I'm still curious about the phantom oil stuff though. I"m also curious of how much time you took on it. Looks like as it took over 400 hours.
