Shattered I

8” x 8” pencil on hot press board.

This is a small pencil drawing of a smashed light bulb. Set up as a still life with low lighting and a low view (worm eye) this was a very interesting drawing to execute. This is only the first part of a diptych type presentation. Thank you

the reflections on the surface of the glass, the ridges in the base of the bulb, the filament... everything is just perfectly shaded and drawn. I hope to draw like you someday :)

You frighten me man, I've never seen such realism and wonderful detail in anybody elses drawings ever, with such an eye for detail, light, reflection and scale.
This is as wonderful as all your drawings and agaig I'm sat her slightly stunned and full of admiration. :D

Yet another amazing drawing...but to be honest it's what I have come to expect from you! I'd be worried if it wasn't.

I'm guessing that that by the time I post this there will be another 50 comments already.

A brilliant, detailed and fragile piece - the light reflection is stunning.

This drawing especially reminds me of MC Escher, and your style is very much like his.
