5” x 7” Oil over graphite on Claybord

I almost hesitate to show this type of work, it is so different then my graphite drawings. Not only in the obvious, the more impressionistic translation of the real but also the ethereal concept that drives these tiny paintings. They lack any social/religious undercurrent that is usually present in my graphite drawings, Yet these are very important to my well roundness as an artist, the interest isn’t even the trees but the light filtering between branches the patterns that are set up and of course color.
